HARVARD — Bare Hill Pond Watershed Management Committee approves prior minutes, faces $1,500 budget shortfall. Treasurer Peter Von Loesecke reported outstanding obligations of roughly $5,200, including an ARC monitoring contract of approximately $4,457; ARC's fees increased approximately $1,500 over the prior year. Committee member Rainer Park presented a proposal to supplement manual frog counts with passive acoustic monitoring technology, with Chair Bruce Leicher recommending a phased approach where manual and automated approaches overlap for at least two years.

The committee applied for a grant through the Community Foundation of North Central Massachusetts for an educational outreach campaign including a town-wide mailing on healthy pond stewardship and a public presentation by Wendy Gendron on the science behind watershed management.
