Harvard Capital Planning and Investment Committee approves $22,000 for Fire Engine #2 tank modifications. Chair SusanMary Redinger, voting members Charles Oliver and Abby Besse approved the expenditure unanimously, citing safety justification for converting the engine's fire retardant tanks to non-PFAS substances. Fire Chief Rick Sicard reported the engine is halfway through its 20-year life cycle and flagged $31,586.77 in additional maintenance issues; the committee directed that routine work be funded through the Finance Committee's Reserve Fund instead of capital allocations.
