Charter Review Committee plans public input on eight-article town document.

HARVARD — The Harvard Charter Review Committee began its formal review of the town's eight-article Charter with a presentation by Chair Eric Ward on the input process and timeline. The Committee plans to solicit feedback from town departments, boards, committees, the Town Council, and the public before assessing proposed changes and presenting recommended revisions to the Select Board. A vote at Town Meeting is targeted for spring 2027.
The Charter, last amended in May 2022, establishes Harvard's structure across incorporation, the legislative branch, elected and appointed offices, the Town Administrator, administrative organization, finance and fiscal procedures, general provisions, and transitional measures.
