Harvard Climate Initiative Committee unanimously backs solar farm at town gravel pit. The HEAC-developed project, redesigned to span four acres with no battery storage and panels oriented away from Jacob's Gate homes, must secure approval by July 1 for state rebate eligibility. Three grant awards total $385,000: $150,000 from DOER for Bromfield school design, $200,000 for the library's HVAC optimization, and $35,000 for shade trees at the new elementary school.
Committee member Christian Turnheim announced her resignation; Nancy Hartshorne will move to full membership pending Select Board approval.
