HARVARD — The Harvard Commission on Disabilities approved prior minutes and heard accessibility updates from General Store owners Betsy Starr and Matt Marolda, who plan wheelchair-designated seating and pavement upgrades. Commission members Davida Bagatelle, Elizabeth Fesl, and Amy Nutt identified concerns about motorized-wheelchair turning radius and the inaccessibility of the patio's gravel center. A town accessibility questionnaire revealed widespread dissatisfaction, with respondents citing Harvard Elementary School, sidewalks, and parking as priority improvements, specifically noting that only one of two handicapped spots is accessible by curb cut.
The commission will recommend polling-place accessibility changes for November 2026 elections.
