HARVARD — Commission on Disabilities advanced McCurdy Park accessibility improvements and launched a town-wide survey. The commission reported modifications to McCurdy Park's design, including an accessible trail from handicap parking at the Senior Center to the lower field, which architects agreed to incorporate into their plans. Davida Bagatelle wrote an announcement of the survey for The Harvard Press, with hard copies to be distributed to schools, Town Hall, the library, and Senior Center.
Members unanimously voted to revisit their strategic timeline in June, possibly postponing work until January 2027. The commission also noted an inquiry about snow removal for handicap parking at the Police Department.
