Conservation Commission approves wetland permits and issues violations fine reduction

Harvard Conservation Commission approves field and building permits, reduces violation fine. The commission unanimously issued four Certificates of Compliance and two wetland determinations, including approvals for the Harvard Conservation Trust's 87 Ayer Road demolition and the Harvard Youth Baseball & Softball Association's field upgrades at Ryan Land Depot Road. The commission also reduced a $700 violation fine to $350 for Justin Baer after finding it inconsistent with penalties for similar violations.

All five commissioners unanimously authorized Conservation Agent Liz Allard to oppose proposed state legislation threatening local wetland protections under the Mass Ready Act.
