HARVARD — The Harvard Council on Aging Board of Directors unanimously approved its treasurer and director reports, confirming near-complete fiscal spending and recent program successes. Director Debbie Thompson highlighted a 90th birthday celebration, an ice cream social scheduled for June 24, and a movie screening that generated a $325 surplus after River Court paid full cost. The Council also secured housing for a woman previously in substandard conditions.
The Friends of the Council on Aging received a $3,000 donation from the Harvard Farmer's Market. Board member Kim Schwarz attended her final meeting; the Select Board was scheduled to vote on Amanda Jones as her replacement.
