HARVARD — Energy Advisory Committee approves prior meeting minutes, updates town on decarbonization. The committee, chaired by Brian Smith with members Forrest Hodgkins and Ellen Sachs-Leicher attending, reviewed the status of multiple energy initiatives including a $206,851 DOER grant for Library HVAC upgrades and a $150,000 Technical Assistance grant for Bromfield High School HVAC design. The committee has contracted with Guardian Energy Solutions for building management system replacement at the library, with summer 2026 work planned.

A warrant article for a 3-megawatt gravel pit solar project with battery storage failed to achieve the required two-thirds vote at the May 2 Annual Town Meeting; streetlight LED conversion is progressing, with test fixtures installed in the Town Center by May 20.
