Energy Advisory Committee · Meeting of March 11, 2026

Harvard Energy Advisory Committee approves prior minutes and assesses municipal decarbonization progress. Chair Brian Smith presided over discussion of the Bromfield school HVAC electrification project, estimated at $8 million and focused on variable refrigerant flow heat pumps, and the Library HVAC retrofit awarded a $206,851 state grant on March 4. The committee also reviewed a proposed three-megawatt solar field at a municipal gravel pit; a March 10 public session drew community concern about groundwater impact and project pace, with Solect Energy having signed a letter of intent approved by the Select Board on February 3.

The committee voted 3-0 to approve the prior meeting minutes.
