Harvard Finance Committee voted unanimously to require $335,000 in school cuts and $452,000 in town departmental reductions to achieve a no-override budget. The $787,000 total allocation came after discussion of Select Board guidance from a January 6 tri-board meeting, where leadership indicated preference for avoiding an override but acknowledged some proposed cuts may be too drastic. Finance Committee Chair Mike Derse moved the motion, which was seconded by Charles Oliver.
The committee next discussed four warrant articles and assigned Town Meeting Book sections for volunteer preparation.
