HARVARD — The Finance Committee approved its prior meeting minutes unanimously and scheduled two major budget hearings for FY27. Chair Mike Derse convened all seven members virtually on January 6. Chief Rick Sicard presented the Fire and Ambulance Department budgets; Jared Mullane and Assistant Town Administrator Dawn Dunbar presented the Public Buildings budget, with Dunbar now assuming full responsibility for that line.

The committee will attend the Schools public budget meeting on January 12 at 6:15 PM at Bromfield Library and will invite the new Department of Public Works Director to a January 13 or 20 meeting. The committee also discussed pending state budget updates and free cash certification procedures.
