Fourth of July Committee · Meeting of January 8, 2026

Harvard's Fourth of July Committee unanimously adopted the town's Code of Conduct for committee volunteers and tightened grant compliance procedures. Chair Christopher Chalifoux reported that a required Mass Cultural Council grant documentation step was missed in 2025, with the form submitted in late December after review by Town Accounting Assistant Cathy Bowen. The committee approved creation of a grant-operations handbook and began planning a centralized archive of parade records on the town server.

Volunteers will be recruited in the coming weeks and sponsors contacted.
