Harvard Board of Health approves septic system upgrade for Old Littleton Road property. The Board voted unanimously to grant a local upgrade allowing use of a sieve analysis instead of a conventional PERC test for 228 Old Littleton Road, where an existing house is being rebuilt with the same bedroom count, a new garage, and an accessory dwelling unit. Health Agent Jim Garreffi explained the project history, and engineer Dan Wolfe outlined the benefits of a Geomat system alternative that reduces leaching area sizes by up to 40 percent.
The Board also approved $107.99 in invoices, a stable permit for 7 East Bare Hill Road, and discussed ongoing PFAS investigations in private wells and at the transfer station.
