HARVARD — The Harvard Municipal Affordable Housing Trust unanimously voted to send a letter to the Select Board proposing the town-owned gravel pit as a potential affordable housing site. Chair Arielle Jennings and members Eve Wittenberg, Patrick Killeen, and Paige Johnston supported the move, which came after a solar project proposal for the same parcel was rejected at town meeting and its tax credit expired, according to Adam Meier. The letter, timed to coordinate with a June 9 Select Board strategic planning session, will also request regular collaboration among town boards and staff on land-use initiatives.
The seven-member board then entered executive session to discuss real property negotiation strategy before adjourning.
