HARVARD — The Harvard Land Stewardship Subcommittee unanimously approved a prototype bench designed by member Peter Loges, constructed from pressure-treated 2x6 lumber at a cost under $100 and already installed at Shaker Hills. The subcommittee also endorsed a one-year trial of four monthly mowings at Hermann Orchard from May through August, beyond the fall mowing currently performed, with Sisson to cost out the proposal for next meeting. Chair Wendy Sisson presided over six members present on July 7; the group approved updated trail standards requiring 3/8" to 1" gaps between boardwalk planks and welcomed new member Stacia Donohue.

Other agenda items included invasives management priorities and the Dancing Grounds Boy Scout fencing project.
