HARVARD — Land Stewardship Subcommittee unanimously approved an encroachment correction policy and authorized two types of signage to enforce one-year leash requirements at Bare Hill Wildlife Sanctuary and Bower Springs. Chair Wendy Sisson and the nine-member committee also voted to support town acceptance of a 1.5-acre Link family land donation on Woodside Road, which abuts the sanctuary. Conservation Agent Liz Allard will coordinate summer mowing across multiple properties, and committee members approved four annual mowings of Hermann Orchard starting in 2027 and annual mowing of Powell's back field to control invasives.
The subcommittee requested Conservation Commission approval of a 700-dollar budget for six memorial benches at approved sites.
