HARVARD — Land Stewardship Subcommittee approves prior minutes and reviews trail conditions. Subcommittee heard that newly grafted apple trees at Abbot Orchard are now protected by seven-foot fencing installed by Nathan Aldrich, with two public gates and signage forthcoming for review. Wendy Sisson and Peter Loges advanced a Boy Scout fence-repair project at Shaker Dancing Grounds with Gary Madison, Gary's three scouts, and Mark Shaw, identifying a western section for work and setting a future work date.
Ted Maxant and Brian McClain will walk a property on West Bare Hill Road to prepare a quote for cleaning a stone wall and controlling invasives, with Greg Harrod slated to perform the work.
