HARVARD — The Harvard Land Stewardship Subcommittee unanimously approved contracting with Greg Harrod for stone wall restoration on Sprague property at West Bare Hill Road and voted to support tree removal at Hoch Land, contingent on wetland best practices compliance. Chair Wendy Sisson, along with members Petri Flint and Brian McClain, will develop a 2026 invasive species control plan addressing ailanthus, black locust, buckthorn, and Japanese knotweed across multiple town properties for presentation at the July meeting. Abbot Orchard's newly grafted apple trees are now protected by seven-foot fencing installed by Nathan Aldrich, with public access maintained through two gates; the subcommittee will install signage at gate locations.
