Library Trustees approve February minutes, defer pavilion-use request

Harvard Library Trustees unanimously approved their February minutes and rejected a pavilion-use request for an outgoing superintendent's farewell party, finding it does not comply with policy. Director Mary Wilson reported February circulation at 11,452 items (24 percent e-materials), up from January following school visits. The town's vacant administrator position will not affect library funding; the Finance Committee will cover the library's base appropriation with the additional $46,000 needed folded into the override.
The board assigned trustees to finalize sandwich-board designs, review Community Building Trust concepts, compare email platforms for patron communication, and develop plans for documenting mechanical and plumbing systems and celebrating the library's April 2027 20th anniversary.
