Harvard Library Trustees unanimously approved a pavilion use policy designating the space as a free community venue for public events by reservation during library hours, with a one-week advance notice requirement. Director Mary Wilson reported July-August circulations at 21,978, down slightly from 22,137 the previous year; the board hired a new circulation assistant and nearly completed work on the building management system for HVAC. The trustees scheduled a governance retreat for October 2 and assigned Trustee Laurie Lingham to reconcile bylaws versions while Trustee Gail Coolidge researches pavilion use costs.

The board discussed an outreach plan to promote the library's audiovisual capabilities to community groups and pushed further discussion of the Library of Things portable speaker to its next meeting.
