Harvard Personnel Board approves FY27 cost-of-living adjustment at 3.34 percent. The board voted unanimously to recommend the increase based on the 12-month Consumer Price Index average. In a separate unanimous vote, the board approved raising reserve police officer pay from $24.00 to $29.15 per hour, aligning with step 1 of the Police Union Contract, after Police Chief Babu argued the officers are fully trained and deserve parity with the lowest paid union step.
The board also tasked Assistant Town Administrator and HR Director Dawn Dunbar with proposing rate increases for three positions currently paid below Massachusetts minimum wage for consideration at the March 10 meeting.
