HARVARD — Planning Board approves 320 Ayer Road mixed-use commercial project with conditions. Chair John McCormack and members Doug Thornton, Irene Battaglia, and Paul Robertson voted unanimously to grant special permits for the site, which requires parking lot signage addressing overnight parking and employee access restrictions. The board deferred proposed amendments to Chapter 125 zoning bylaws governing the Town Center Overlay District, Form Based Code, and solar facilities until March 2 after receiving a detailed memorandum from resident Bruce Leicher questioning whether commercial use allowances adequately protect the Harvard General Store and requesting clarity on accessory structure standards, parking minimums, and the role of the Historical Commission and Design Review Board in project approvals.
