Planning Board · Meeting of September 28, 2026
Harvard Planning Board advanced five zoning articles for a town meeting vote on October 20. Chair John McCormack and all four board members unanimously approved amendments covering state law conformity, use regulations, dimensional standards, clean energy facilities, and MBTA communities overlay requirements. The articles were referred to the Select Board for warrant inclusion.
During the hearing, the board debated but ultimately decided to maintain a 12-foot height limit for ground-mounted solar installations, allowing variances where needed. Jenny Gingras, the Community and Economic Development Director, agreed to revise the articles before Select Board action.
