Select Board · Meeting of January 6, 2026

HARVARD — Select Board appoints Herman to Permanent Building Committee, green-lights legal counsel. The board unanimously approved Guy Herman's appointment and authorized Town Administrator Dan Nason to sign an agreement with KP Law. Finance Committee Chair Mike Derse reported a $740,000 FY27 deficit and stated a Proposition 2½ override is likely necessary to avoid significant service cuts, primarily affecting personnel.

The Select Board agreed to explore a 65-35 town-school revenue split as a starting point and directed town staff to prepare potential cuts for Finance Committee and Select Board consideration.
