Select Board · Meeting of August 4, 2026

Harvard Select Board unanimously approved the Livestrong First Responder Bike Ride for September 6 and conditionally approved a renewable energy hosting agreement with Agilitas Energy. The Agilitas project, a 3.6-megawatt solar facility in Williamsburg, will generate $325,000 in town revenue over 20 years and use 3.6 of Harvard's 10-megawatt net-metering capacity, pending clarification of impact on an existing NextGen Energy project and legal review by town counsel. Town Administrator Dawn Dunbar presented multiple scenarios for capping the closed landfill and relocating the DPW facility and transfer station from the contaminated site, with the Board supporting continued exploration of options including regionalization with neighboring towns before any final decision.
