Warner Free Lecture Trustees · Meeting of April 14, 2026

HARVARD — The Warner Free Lecture Trustees approved a Commonwealth Fusion presentation for their spring program while maintaining a standard $400 speaker fee. The board declined author Michael Tougias's request for $750, deciding to hold the line and seek another speaker if he does not accept the standard rate. Higher fees will only be considered if the organization secures a specific grant.

Azer Bestavros is confirmed for an artificial intelligence topic scheduled for spring. The trustees are also planning presentations including square dancing (September), a Pinhill discussion with the Harvard Historical Society (November), and a Mary Babson Fuhrer lecture (January).
