Water & Sewer Commissions · Meeting of May 13, 2026

HARVARD — Water and Sewer Commission approves prior meeting minutes and advances water system modernization. Chair Chris Mitchell, member Jeffrey Tingle, and staff including Director of Public Works Eric Ryder reviewed updates to water and sewer regulations through engineering firm Woodard & Curran and discussed the planned July 1 transition to Devens water supply, contingent on utility coordination and removal of PFAS-affected water. The Commission approved approximately 21 new water meters in service with additional replacements planned, and discussed rate impacts and funding approaches for the transition.

Ongoing PFAS testing in the Depot Road area and broader landfill-related concerns were reviewed with acknowledgment that additional planning and coordination will be needed.
