Harvard Water Commission approved prior minutes and continued discussions on water and sewer regulations while receiving project updates. Director of Public Works Eric Ryder reported that the Harvard/Devens water connection was nearing completion pending final MassDEP approvals including generator testing, pump testing, and a backflow survey. Capital Environmental's Robert Berger reported that recent PFAS sampling in the Depot Road and Under Pin Hill Road areas showed only one property exceeding the MassDEP PFAS6 standard.
Chair Chris Mitchell acknowledged resident Cynthia Allen's concerns about PFAS affecting her property and confirmed the Commission was reviewing point-of-entry treatment systems and municipal water connection options as potential response strategies.
