Working group elects Farber-Chen chair; Ruze recommended for appointment.

Harvard Addiction Abatement Fund Working Group elects Aaron Farber-Chen as chair. Brad Holub, the previous chair, formally resigned to represent Harvard on the NOAC; Farber-Chen was elected unanimously. The group voted to recommend Patty Ruze, a Harvard resident with 15 years of correctional medicine experience including prior tenure as medical director at MCI Concord and Souza-Baranowski, for committee appointment.
The working group approved a state-awarded RIZE Mosaic grant of approximately 120,000 dollars matched with 75,000 dollars from the fund to establish a regional peer counseling program through operational partner Riverbend, though it took no action on a proposed Harvard Public Schools vape detector grant, citing funding and goal-alignment concerns.
